So this site is made entirely for posting awesome videos. Here is our story:
The oldest semblance of our group began many years ago. One of our very close associates and good friends had a video camera that his dad let him use. Our first videos mainly consisted of us running around and screaming. Also, at my gramma's house, I could make videos that appealed more to my taste, such as a mummy film, and a caper involving stop animation salt and pepper shakers. I thought that this was just awesome, so I wanted a video camera as well. What I got was a Handicam 8.
So around this time, my friend who had the original camera and I decided to create a series. It was called Powerdudes. Also, we diversified and created our original stop-motion series, Robotman. Power dudes never really stuck, but we continued to make robotman episodes up through our freshman year. Another one of our members developed his taste for movie-making around the time of Robotman: Season 1 (which was actually a remake of the original first season). He made a locally infamous spin-off titled "Abane", named after an anti-hero from the Robotman franchise. But he just continued making movies. The other members developed independently of us as the original "Fridonian Films". The name "Fridonia" comes from the 1933 Marx brothers movie Duck Soup. Some early works by the original fridonian film group may be viewed on Lachadine's Youtube page.
In any event, our first major collaboration was for our first major release, titled "The Rotting" (which will hopefully be avaliable soon for your viewing pleasure). This film was a well scripted mystery/thriller, shot throughout Mechanicsburg PA. We threw a massive premier for it, and had a band appear at it. Another major collaboration came as a performance piece for the National Latin Classics Festival. One of our members translated a very encompassing scene from "Office Space" and we smashed a printer in front of a bunch of prude judges. We won no awards, but deserved many. Our ongoing collaboration seems to have formed us into a collective, as now we are all flying under the "Fridonian" banner. This site is dedicated to all of those who ever dreamed an impossible dream to leave a lasting impression on the arts.
I would never make a dedication that lame. I'm just screwing with you.
